11.November 12th 2005 : Diwali Celebration hosted by Sunitha & Pramod Kankure

Festival of lights "Diwali" celebrated with great enthusiasm and Fun, as Basavadhi sharana's said "With The power of Knowledge and Light, remove darkness of mind, soul and environment" and we all agree that "Pramod's Family" provided the best means to implement that vision here in USA. Our younger Veerashaiva "Akarsh Hosahalli" explained importance of Diwali in a very authentic way. Basava Pooja and Vachana chanting followed by lighting of Beautiful "Diyas" with very meaningful slogan by "Supriya Kankure".

"On behalf of my parents, siblings, grand parents and friends we lit Diyas for World Peace".

Fire crackers were fun, including elders all kids enjoyed to the fullest and are looking forward to next function. Everybody enjoyed mouth watering dishes.

When "Spoorthi"- daughter of Tina & Chetan Nataraj pretended reading a vachana, though she is so small(3 year old) & can not read any language yet, she mimicked her parents by memorizing(reading) vachana because she has seen her parents read vachanas from vsne book to pray. We feel proud that VSNE is making difference in our lives.
